Powering New Narratives.
Burton Bond harnesses the power of public imagination* to confront, interrogate, and agitate the systems + narratives that keep people from thriving.
As a narrative research, design + organizing studio with a mission to improve the human condition, we work with partners to produce creative interventions that disrupt power and help rewrite harmful narratives about marginalized people.
Through collaboration, we imagine and cultivate rooted and regenerated stories, ideas and approaches that uplift the lives of Black, Indigenous + peoples of color in fresh, inclusive and accessible ways.
* Public imagination encompasses the collective ideas, beliefs, and images that shape a society’s understanding of itself and its future possibilities. It includes the shared stories, myths, symbols, and cultural narratives that influence its values, attitudes, and aspirations.

Our Values
Connectivity
With radical care and intention, we convene audiences, communities + partners as experts in their lived experiences to build toward the collective and unite against the systems that devalue us.
Imagination
Through iterative ideation, we dream up new mental models, stories, frameworks and ways of being that interrogate the forces that keep us trapped by design.
Creativity
We use ingenuity to generate belief + investment in the capacity of people, story and community to disrupt oppressive structures and power new narratives toward outcomes that last.
